Nintendo has raised its full-year sales forecast for the Switch 2 gaming console to 19 million units for the fiscal year ending March 2026, up from a prior target of 15 million.
The company sold 10.3 million Switch 2 units by end-September, on the strength of early titles like Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bonanza.
Nintendo also lifted its full-year operating profit estimate by 16% to 370 billion yen (≈ US$2.45 billion), despite a first-half profit ratio drop to 13.2% (down from 23.2% the prior year).
The company said it expects strong momentum through the upcoming holiday season and cited major game releases like Pokemon Legends: Z‑A and Kirby Air Riders as drivers of demand.
Nintendo noted that supply-chain tension linked to U.S. trade tariffs remains a risk. The firm is manufacturing portions of the console in Vietnam amid global trade uncertainties.
