Texas Dominates 2025: 5 Cities Rank in America's Top 10 Healthiest Housing Markets

Experts have released a new ranking of the healthiest US housing markets for 2025. Texas cities completely dominate the list. Five different cities from the Lone Star State made the top 10 overall. This success shows Texas offers both strong market growth and solid affordability.

McKinney, Texas, ranked as the nation’s No. 1 real estate market. This is its third straight year at the top spot. McKinney excels in both economic environment and housing market strength. It features high job growth and strong home-price appreciation potential. Analysts looked at 17 key metrics for this report. These factors included new home construction, job growth, and local unemployment rates.

Most top-ranking cities are midsize markets. These midsize areas are growing fast but have not reached a massive scale. They offer newer housing inventory. This helps keep housing costs aligned with local income levels. Larger Texas cities like Dallas and Austin did not crack the top 10 list.

The overall trend favors midsize metros with stable economies and room for affordable growth. Other winning Texas cities include Frisco, Richardson, Denton, and Allen. These vibrant suburbs are now major national market leaders.
