Australia’s CSL Vaccine Arm Teams Up with Saudi Arabia on Flu Shots

Significant Overhaul to US Vaccine Schedule Sparks Clinical and Insurance Concerns

CSL Ltd, Australia’s major vaccine-maker, is collaborating with Saudi Arabia to develop advanced flu vaccines. Together with the Kingdom’s pharmaceutical manufacturing group, CSL’s vaccine division will focus on seasonal influenza tools.

The partnership aims to boost local production in Saudi Arabia and improve access across the Gulf region. CSL already supplies flu vaccines globally and sees the deal as a strategic step into Middle Eastern markets.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia seeks to strengthen its healthcare manufacturing capability and reduce reliance on imports.

The project highlights how vaccine firms are forming new alliances beyond Western markets to meet pandemic-preparedness needs.
