Nvidia CEO Huang Confirms Strong Sales for New Blackwell Chips
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang confirmed very strong demand for the company’s new Blackwell chips. The flagship chips power the current boom in Artificial Intelligence. Huang made his remarks at an event held by major partner, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC). He noted the increased chip demand is boosting Nvidia’s need for wafers from TSMC.
Blackwell is a complete system. It includes GPUs, CPUs, networking, and switches. Huang praised TSMC for its strong support in supplying wafers. He also highlighted the commitment of memory partners, SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron. These firms have scaled up capacity to support Nvidia’s growth.
Despite massive global demand, the sale of advanced AI chips faces geopolitical limits. Huang stated there are currently “no active discussions” about selling the Blackwell chips to China. The US government has restricted these sales. These restrictions are based on national security concerns. The Blackwell chip is central to Nvidia’s revenue forecast
