At just 18 years old, Robert Mukhametov has already launched three AI-powered apps that cracked the Top 100 in app stores. Based in Cyprus, he runs his startup entirely without outside funding.
Mukhametov says his week now stretches to nearly 100 hours, splitting his time between coding, managing the team and dreaming up the next product. He founded the company two years ago and has since gathered a team that keeps frantically innovating.
The apps span health, finance and consumer-transparency. Mukhametov built them on his own initiative and says the growth took him by surprise. He still balances this venture with his studies and early adulthood.
He credits deep focus and fast learning for his success. “We don’t wait for permission – we build,” he says. Others in the European startup scene say his story underscores how Gen Z entrepreneurs are moving quickly and fearlessly.
Still, challenges remain. Growing without external funding means tight budgets and rapidly burning hours. Mukhametov also says he must focus on user feedback and sustainability, not just growth. The spotlight is on him now—and the apps must deliver.
For his part, Mukhametov says: “If you have a good idea, start now. Don’t wait to be perfect.”
