Space Startup EnduroSat Secures Major €43M Funding to Scale Satellite Production
Bulgarian space company EnduroSat has raised €43 million in a funding round led by Founders Fund. The money will help the firm ramp up production of its Gen3 ESPA-class satellites.
These satellites weigh between 200 and 500 kg and are designed for rapid deployment. They support advanced applications such as hyperspectral imaging, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), broadband and navigation.
EnduroSat’s approach uses modular, software-defined designs and leverages supply chains from consumer electronics and automotive sectors. This helps reduce cost and speed up manufacturing.
With the fresh funding, the company also plans to build a 17,500 m² R&D and manufacturing centre in Sofia. By late 2025, it aims to produce up to 60 satellites per month.
The boost reflects growing demand for space infrastructure. EnduroSat’s model allows clients to focus on their mission while the firm handles manufacturing, integration and launch readiness.
By expanding both in Europe and the U.S., EnduroSat is positioning itself to serve commercial and defence customers globally.
