CNN Launches ‘All Access’ Streaming Plan for $69.99 a Year

CNN is making another push into the subscription streaming market with the launch of “CNN All Access,” a full-service news hub that combines live video, on-demand content, and premium articles.

The platform, set to debut in the U.S. on October 28, will cost $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year, with an introductory offer of $41.99 annually for early subscribers who sign up by January 5.

“All Access” will serve as a centralized platform for CNN’s domestic and international news coverage, offering live broadcasts, exclusive video reports, and subscriber-only digital journalism across CNN.com and its apps.

“No one covers the world like CNN,” said Alex MacCallum, Executive Vice President of Digital Products and Services at CNN Worldwide. “This is an essential step in CNN’s evolution, providing a comprehensive experience that meets how audiences consume news today.”

The new plan builds upon CNN’s existing digital subscription, now renamed the Basic tier, which launched in 2024 and includes unlimited article access but excludes video programming.

The move marks CNN’s latest attempt to expand its digital footprint after the short-lived CNN+ service, which launched in March 2022 and was shut down within a month following Warner Bros. and Discovery’s merger.

Parent company Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) is also undergoing major restructuring, with plans to split into two separate public companies by 2026 — one focusing on streaming and film (including HBO Max) and the other on global networks, where CNN will reside.

Industry watchers say CNN’s new offering aims to strengthen its direct relationship with consumers at a time when subscription fatigue and media consolidation are reshaping the streaming landscape.
