Hard Rock International has announced plans to develop a major hotel, casino and residential resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The $850 million Hard Rock Hotel & Casino San Juan is set to open in 2029, marking the brand’s first integrated casino resort on the island.
The new development will be located adjacent to San Juan’s historic Old San Juan district. It will offer scenic views of San Juan Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, positioning it near key cultural and tourist areas.
Designed as a mixed-use destination, the property will feature 415 hotel rooms and 58 luxury suites. In addition to guest rooms, 186 branded residences will be available, blending hospitality with long-term living options.
Visitors can look forward to a comprehensive entertainment and hospitality experience. The resort will include a fully integrated casino, multiple dining venues, pool areas and wellness facilities such as the signature Rock Spa and fitness center.
Hard Rock’s design aims to reflect Puerto Rico’s musical and cultural heritage. The resort is expected to showcase local art and memorabilia, celebrate the island’s vibrant arts scene and create a unique sense of place for guests.
