Jacksonville Jaguars Retain Top Coordinators Grant Udinski and Anthony Campanile for 2026
  • Offensive coordinator Grant Udinski and defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile signed new contracts to remain with the Jaguars.
  • Both coaches successfully navigated several head-coaching interviews with other NFL franchises before deciding to stay in Jacksonville.
  • The duo helped lead the Jaguars to a franchise-best 13-4 record and an AFC South division title in 2025.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have secured a major victory for their coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season. The team announced on Tuesday that both offensive coordinator Grant Udinski and defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile will return. Both coaches agreed to new contract terms to stay under head coach Liam Coen.

This news follows weeks of heavy interest from other NFL teams looking for new head coaches. Udinski and Campanile were key figures in a record-breaking 2025 campaign. Their return provides critical continuity for a young roster that recently won the AFC South.

Grant Udinski, just 30 years old, oversaw a historic season for the Jaguars’ offense. Under his guidance, the team set new franchise records for points, touchdowns, and first downs. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence also reached new heights, throwing a record 29 touchdowns during the regular season.

Udinski recently interviewed for head-coaching vacancies with the Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns. He eventually withdrew from the Browns’ search earlier this week. His decision to remain in Jacksonville is a significant boost for Lawrence and the offense’s future growth.

On the defensive side, Anthony Campanile made an immediate impact during his first year. The 43-year-old coordinator transformed the unit into the best run defense in the NFL. Jacksonville allowed only 85.6 rushing yards per game, a new franchise best.

Campanile was a top finalist for the Arizona Cardinals’ head-coaching position. He also interviewed with the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins during the offseason. By keeping him, the Jaguars retain an opportunistic unit that ranked second in the league in takeaways.

Head coach Liam Coen praised both coordinators for their dedication and recent success. He noted that their opportunities to interview elsewhere were well-earned. Coen believes both men are future head coaches but is happy to have them back for another run.

With the coaching staff now settled, Jacksonville turns its attention to the draft and free agency. The team looks to build on its 13-4 record after a narrow wild-card playoff exit. Retaining Udinski and Campanile ensures the Jaguars remain a top contender in the AFC.
