NASA Fires Back at Kim Kardashian: “Yes, We’ve Been to the Moon 6 Times!”

When reality-TV star Kim Kardashian said she believed the 1969 moon landing was fake, NASA stepped in swiftly to correct the record.

Kardashian made the claim during an episode of The Kardashians, citing a quote from legendary astronaut Buzz Aldrin that she interpreted as meaning the moon landing “didn’t happen.”

In response, acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy posted on X: “Yes, @KimKardashian, we’ve been to the Moon before… 6 times!”  He added that NASA’s Artemis II mission is set to launch in 2026 to mark a return to lunar territory.

While Kardashian’s comments stirred social-media buzz, scientists say the moon landings have been verified by multiple independent sources over decades.  NASA further invited Kardashian to visit the Kennedy Space Center to witness upcoming launches firsthand.

This exchange highlights both the enduring fascination with space exploration and the persistent challenge of addressing public mis-beliefs in well-documented historical events.
