Mark Zuckerberg Unveils Meta Smart Glasses Blending AI and Everyday Life

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has unveiled the company’s next-generation Ray-Ban smart glasses, designed to merge artificial intelligence with daily use. The new glasses feature a built-in display, allowing users to see notifications, translate text, or navigate without looking at their phones.

Zuckerberg said the goal is to make technology more natural and less distracting. The device connects with Meta’s AI assistant, enabling hands-free photo capture, live translation, and video streaming. Users can also control features through voice or touch commands on the frame.

The glasses are built with Ray-Ban’s classic design but now include improved audio quality, better battery life, and faster response time. Early testers praised the lightweight build and integration with Instagram and WhatsApp, allowing seamless social sharing.

During the launch, Zuckerberg described the glasses as “a step toward personal AI superintelligence.” He believes wearable devices like these will replace smartphones as the main way people connect with the digital world.

The release strengthens Meta’s position in the fast-growing wearable AI market, where rivals like Apple and Google are also investing heavily. With these smart glasses, Meta aims to make augmented reality practical, fashionable, and affordable for everyday users.
