Trump Sits With Norah O’Donnell on 60 Minutes After CBS Settlement

Donald Trump sat down with Norah O’Donnell at his Mar-a-Lago estate for an exclusive interview airing on 60 Minutes this Sunday.

This marks Trump’s first sit-down with the program since his network, CBS News, parent company settled a lawsuit. Earlier this year, CBS’s parent company agreed to a roughly US $16 million settlement with the former president over allegedly deceptive editing in a prior interview.

The wide-ranging talk covers foreign policy, tariffs, immigration and the ongoing government shutdown. Among the notable segments: Trump argued his tariff strategy secured rare-earth minerals and claimed U.S. dominance in the AI race.

The interview follows major changes at CBS, including a merger with Skydance Media and the appointment of Bari Weiss as editor-in-chief of CBS News. The shake-up has sparked debate over the network’s editorial direction.

Analysts say the broadcast could shape perceptions as Trump campaigns ahead of the next election. For CBS, it represents a chance to regain viewership amid its network overhaul.
