Bank of America and BNY Mellon Sued Over Alleged Epstein Financial Ties

Bank of America Epstein lawsuit

A woman who says she was abused by Jeffrey Epstein has filed lawsuits against Bank of America and Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon). She claims the banks knowingly enabled Epstein’s sex trafficking by handling his finances.

She is identified in court papers as Jane Doe. Her lawyers say she became dependent on Epstein between 2011 and 2019. The case states the banks processed payments linked to his operations.

The lawsuits allege that Bank of America failed to flag suspicious transfers—such as rent payments and payroll from fraudulent shell companies.  BNY Mellon is also accused of financing a modeling agency tied to Epstein’s trafficking network.

Neither bank has publicly commented on the lawsuit. Jane Doe is seeking unspecified damages. Her legal team previously settled similar claims against JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank

Meanwhile, Congress is probing how Epstein operated undetected for years. The lawsuits and hearings may force banks to reexamine their compliance and oversight practices in high-risk accounts.
