Apple’s New AirPods Can Translate Languages Live in Your Ears
Apple’s latest AirPods lineup debuts a game-changing feature: real-time language translation powered by Apple Intelligence. The company unveiled the AirPods Pro 3 alongside its new iOS 26 update, enabling in-person conversations to be translated directly through the earbuds.
At launch, the Live Translation feature supports English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with plans to add Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese later this year.
To use it, simply press both AirPods stems together to trigger translation. The device will lower the volume of the original speaker and deliver the translated speech into your ears. If both participants are wearing compatible AirPods, each can hear the other’s translations seamlessly.
